About
Sylvia and I finished our album during the Summer of 2016. However, because Sylvia "crossed-over" on 4/9/11, we had to work "across the Veil".
Sylvia wrote all the Songs and Lyrics. I simply "Streamed" them… pulled them in from the other side of the "Veil". This was very difficult at times, because Sylvia sent most of the Songs to me in several pieces — part of the Rhythm, most of the Lyrics, some of the Melody, etc. Sometimes, her information would appear to me as a "feeling" or an "image". I would then have to decipher this energy to learn what she was sending.
The process took almost 2-years and was a bit stressful and challenging for both of us.
I'm a Drummer. I can't play Sylvia's massive chords or develop her incredible melodies. Sylvia is a Keyboardist. She doesn't have my rhythmic energies but together, we intertwine our talents Naturally.
This album is titled: "Perfectionately Yours". It's a "Concept" album. It's our story from when Sylvia 1st crossed-over, until now. This album carries the listener through the various emotions I went through. So the 1st few Songs are very chaotic and stressful. As the album progresses, the Songs become more on-purpose.
The most challenging Song for me, Rhythmically, is "Time Machine". It took me 2-weeks of practice, to learn how to play it all the way through.
The most challenging Song for me, "Vocally", is "Night Of A Thousand Years". I used to think I could Sing but after jumping into this Song, I quickly realized I cannot. So I kept telling Sylvia this isn't going to work "I"m not a Singer" but Sylvia has confidence in me and, with her Coaching along the way, we got through it and created a pretty good Song in the process.
Sylvia used different musical Styles, to present the various emotional States:
